Cape Cod

We knew Hurricane Irene was coming but we also knew that we couldn't cancel our long-awaited weekend at Cape Cod where friends were coming from around the country for a college reunion.  Even 65-mph wind gusts couldn't stop us.

And we lost power. Not only lights but running water.  Right on, right on...

After a sleepless night of wind and exfoliating flying sand, we awoke to a gorgeous day...

It looks like you had a fun time despite Irene. That dog is beautiful!

Anali, if you love that cone that much, can you imagine how INSANE the kids went?! Holy crap. In fact, I daresay that the staff at Finbars was so amused that they made each subsequent kid's cone bigger than the one before. Just to hear the squeals of delight.

Wendy, that's Bodie, our friends' Newfoundland. Can you believe he's 8 years old?! He's living on borrowed time and loving every minute - he's a dream dog.
